* PRIORITIES

The preference for access to the centres will be made based on the following order of priority:

1. Students from the same school.

2. Students from affiliated centres.

3. Students who have to change their residence due to gender violence or terrorism.

4. Students who are in foster care or in foster care for adoption purposes. These students will be given preference to access, at the family's choice, to the centre where the children of foster families or other minors in their care are attending school, or in a centre located in the area of influence of their family or work domicile.

5. Students in residential care.

6. Students who have to change their residence due to family eviction.

7. Elite, high-level and high-performance sports students, as well as technical staff, coaches, referees and elite judges from the Comunitat Valenciana will have preference for access to the centre located in the area of influence of the place where they undertake their training.

8. The conselleria responsible for education may define the secondary education centres in which pupils who are simultaneously studying secondary education, regulated music and dance courses and elite, high-level and high-performance sportsmen and women will have priority in terms of admission.

9. The students of the centre will have preference in accessing the vacant places offered in their own centre when they have places in the first course of Baccalaureate in those modalities that the centre is authorised to teach, with the exception of the artistic modality. In the event that the number of students who choose to access the first course of Baccalaureate in these modalities exceeds the vacancies at the centre, a school place is guaranteed in another secondary school or centre in their locality, as close as possible to their centre of origin, taking into account the request for centres by students or their legal representatives in the admission process and respecting the order of ranking.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 38 of Decree 40/2016 and Article 43 bis of Order 7/2016, in situations of a tie that occur after applying the tie-breaking criteria, a public draw will be made in accordance with the following procedure: 2 letters will be chosen by which the first surname will be ordered; also, another 2 letters by which the second surname will be ordered, and which will be applied when students have the same first surname. If a student does not have a second surname, it will be considered that it begins with "AA". The two letters will determine, together, the starting point to alphabetise the surnames of the students.

The result of the draw held before a notary on 1 March 2023 at the headquarters of the Conselleria for Education, Culture and Sport, which has also been published on the website of the Conselleria, and which must be taken into account for the 2023-2024 academic year, was as follows:

Letters to order the first surname: SP (in this order)

Letters to order the second surname, and that will be applied when students have the same first surname: PS (in this order)

In accordance with Article 29 of Decree 40/2016:

- Students born in a multiple birth will be considered as one application that will fill as many vacancies as there are multiple births, provided that the father, mother or legal guardian so requests. In the event that any of the members of a multiple birth meet the requirements for access to a place reserved for students with special educational needs, the education administration will adopt the necessary measures, for special reasons, so that admission is carried out jointly.

- In cases of initial admission, where this is the first time a place is applied for in schools in the Comunitat Valenciana or for changes of school due to a change of place of residence, in the event that there are two or more applications for admission of siblings in the same publicly funded school, in the infant or primary stages, when one of them obtains a school place, 15 points will be awarded to the other applicant siblings. Students in foster care or in foster care for adoption purposes will also be considered a sibling.

- It is a prerequisite that the sibling will continue to attend the same school in the school year for which a place is requested.
